“The wind is good,” said the stock horse. “It carries the smell of sagebrush from the valley and blows through my mane, and that makes me feel happy.”
“The wind is bad,” said the stable cat. “I’s boisterous and bothersome and makes it difficult to hunt mice in the field, and that makes me feel angry.”
But the wind was not good or bad; it was simply the wind, and the horse and cat were free to choose how they felt about it.
